Beach Clean-Up at Malpaís de Rasca on 25th of October
On October 25, Palm Mar transformed into a hub of community action and environmental care as more than 60 volunteers came together for a Beach Clean-Up at Malpaís de Rasca, organized by Canary Green. What began as a simple clean-up quickly became a powerful reminder of how united action can protect our natural surroundings.
From early in the morning, volunteers of all ages rolled up their sleeves to tackle waste along the shoreline, rocky coast, and surrounding paths. Bags filled up fast, and by the end of the event, approximately 112 kilograms of trash had been removed and leaving the coastline cleaner, safer, and more welcoming for both people and wildlife.

More Than a Clean-Up: Inspiring Real Change
This wasn’t just about picking up trash. It was about bringing people together, raising awareness, and inspiring lasting change. Each clean-up is a chance to strengthen community bonds and educate people about how everyday choices shape the future of our coastline.
The ultimate goal is to spark a behavioral shift that goes far beyond a single event, building a community that actively cares for and protects the ocean.

Sandwiches, Smiles & Shared Wins
After the hard work was done, participants gathered to celebrate with fresh sandwiches and refreshing Ocean Beers. This simple but special moment created space to connect, share stories, and reflect on the positive impact of their collective effort.
This initiative was made possible not only by the dedication of volunteers but also through the support of key local partners, including Arona Ayuntamiento, Menceyes Properties, Bahia Beach Club, Ocean Beer, Participación y Voluntariado Ambientales de Tenerife, and Cabildo Tenerife. Their ongoing commitment to sustainability reflects the true spirit of collaboration and shared responsibility.
These partnerships show how much stronger the impact can be when businesses, institutions, and individuals unite for a common cause, protecting the natural beauty that defines Tenerife.
