This month’s photo challenge is one of those places where you either know it or you don’t. Anyone who has visited this place should immediately recognise it ““ thatched huts aren’t exactly a common sight on Tenerife ““ but it might prove a difficult challenge for those who haven’t.
There isn’t a great amount to go on in this photo, just a section of hillside in the background and the huts themselves. But the huts are the big clue. Although once common-place in farming areas, there are only a few areas left on Tenerife where they can still be spotted; usually standing alone by the roadside, half hidden in the undergrowth.
This is the only place where you’ll find a small neat ‘village’ of them all in the one location. Thousands of people flock to this spot each year…but where on Tenerife is it?
